Adam Lord is an Orlando-born producer/beatmaker, woodwindist and songwriter whose music exists firmly in the present. Drawing from a deep well of influences—East Coast hip-hop, post-bop, IDM, Afrofuturism, and film scores—his sound is both a reflection and critique of the modern world. Through layered productions and improvisational depth, he explores themes of protest and American exceptionalism through the lens of the 21st century.

 

Blurring the lines between tradition and experimentation, Adam channels the urgency of now, fusing jazz’s social consciousness with the sonic textures of electronic production and the rawness of hip-hop. Founded in the new year of 2024, Adam Lord's Fusillade features some of Miami's most forward-thinking young musicians: Jacob Smith on drums, Aidan McCarthy on bass, Charlee Loyst on keys, Robbie Heyde on guitar, and Kodi McKean on percussion. Whether through intricate arrangements or spontaneous performance, Fusillade seeks to challenge, provoke, and engage. In a time of constant change, his music refuses to look away, embodying both resistance and reinvention.
